Venice Beach California 1/5/2022

An introspective day. I met someone I admired from afar for a long time. I met a celebrity who has done some movies I really loved. This was all before breakfast.

You can’t hear all the other types of language when constantly bombarded with words.

It really was stopping folks in their tracks.

I really have been preferring instrumental music lately. Lyrics make me think. Music makes me feel. I think enough. I want to feel more.

Such a groove.

A bike ride to the pier was a great call.

I met a guy on the pier who played harmonica for War, Santana, and the remaining members of the doors. He had the receipts too. Videos of him on stage in front of 18,000 people and a glowing pride to share the experience. We talked about living life in the moment and how you never know what the next adventure will be. He played harmonica his whole life and well into later years childhood dreams are still coming true. The fella could rock a harmonica. You can see an impressed Santana saying “damn dude” in the video after his solo. I liked his energy.

The sky was calm, but the waves were rocking.

“There are two ways to get enough. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.”
― G.K. Chesterton

I may have held up traffic taking this from the crosswalk. Worth it.
