For small creatures such as we, the vastness is bearable only through love.

The clouds painting the sunset.

Some days are just pretty. Don’t let the light show fool ya the wind was merciless. One day it is summertime sunshine, and the next there is a chill in the bones. There’s a metaphor in there somewhere.

Another beautiful end of the day.

I don’t have a whole lot to say today. I bought one of those soggy turkey sandwiches from the deli at Ralph’s. Immediately regretted it. So I summoned my inner iron chef and began disassembly. I put the soggy buns in the toaster and much to my amazement they emerged fluffy AND crispy. Between the buns went the turkey and cheese, and into the microwave it went. The wilted piece of lettuce and some spicy mustard completed the experiment and all be damned if this wasn’t the best turkey melt I’ve had in recent memory. The cheese melted, the bread had a nice croooonch. 4 dollars well spent.

A young lady set up a microphone and speaker out front earlier. She was a rapper and a pretty savage one at that. She had a fast-paced, machine gun cadence and kept it going for at least an hour. She gathered a crowd and kept the energy high. Super cool. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any video, my phone had died. But I really love this place.
