Only Time Will Tell

I am thoroughly annoyed with the world as of late. It has been difficult to filter out the noise. Gas prices are creeping back up. The never-ending specter of nuclear war is peeking through the windows and the economy is disfiguring. The fucking economy. I hate that fucking word. This incomprehensible and uncontrollable monstrosity with no integrity. A compassionless furnace consuming generation after generation in an endless cycle of monthly payments at high interest amid high inflation. Healthcare and education becoming luxury items yet available to the masses through accumulated debt. Housing, education, childcare, transportation, and even fucking food are rising in price. It’s like watching a runaway train heading for impact and the people saying there is nothing to worry about because it’s still on the tracks. Oh well. What’s the worst that can happen? That being said, Quantumania was pretty fun.     When I was growing up comic books came out once per month at best and they are not very long. The stories are brief and by nature incomplete. It was just a small bite of massive worlds decades in the making and this was plenty. Just like the comics there are no comic book based movies bringing big new beginnings or ends. They are just the latest edition of great characters in new situations and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. People need to quit demanding so much from simple escapism. There was so much to love. It was special effect eye candy. There was some good action, solid jokes, and multiple big laughs. It built and released tension at appropriate moments. My favorite thing about it? I had 2 hours in a different realm. Not one thought about the fucking economy. Highly recommend.
